I'm going to look like MJ after another day of running my boat for sale on CRAIGSLIST. Some people just know how to get to ya. Every person that has contacted me about it has said that NADA is $4200-$4800, why am I asking so much? It is hard to politely tell them you have to include all of the features and not just the bare hull for a price when they come at you acting so all knowing:fight:. So instead I put up a picture of the NADA and a link to a similiar boat. Hopefully this will work.
OK rant over, needed to vent a bit. Now I'm going to go take some EXCEDRIN for my headache, and hopefully go get my powerhead. Now I remember why I left sales.

Ferm that is one nice flats boat. If they see the price and still call you what does that tell you? Sounds like they know its worth more and just trying to get as much as possible for as little as possible. Nothing wrong with that - that's how I roll when possible!

I always try and low ball as well, but when I tell them I have the NADA in front of me they still try to say I'm asking too much. One guy said "Well your adding in the accesories to that price", well DUH. I'm not going to give them trim tabs, jack plate and hydraulic steering for nothing. I don't think I'm asking too much to start with. And the one guy who insulted me, but said he'll go $6K if I do it right now. That one pushed me over the edge.

When I sold my Grady-White a few years ago, I listed at NADA and gave consideration to the geographical area it was being sold in. Here in the NE boats sometimes sell for more money than they might be worth elsewhere. Why? I don't know, but they do. I had a guy from Virginia call me four times to tell me he was interested in buying the boat, but I was asking too much because they were listed for less in Virginia. I had to politely tell him that I wasn't targeting Virginia when I listed it. And, if they were cheaper there, maybe he should find one there. I guess in the end he decided it was too far to drive.

I'm listing below NADA, and well below what people on BOATTRADER are asking. Oh well, hopefully the weekend brings better. Anybody here want her? She's ready to trailer anywhere:sun:.

I won't even look at adds that say FIRM!
I figure out what is the least I will take for the item, big item like this I add $500+ and let them talk me down, Now I get what I want, and they feel better that they got $500 off.
Therm just don't respond to the tire kickers!! you the one that suffers!
Good Luck you will find the right buyer sooner or or latter lets hope for sooner !!

That's pretty much what I did. I would be ecstatic to get $9K for it in this market, but with others like it going for $13,900 I don't see why my price is out of line. One similiar to mine just sold for $12K on CRAIGSLIST, so I will wait and see. This is the reason I only left the contact E-mail through CRAIGSLIST. I don't need phone calls at all hours asking stupid questions about it. If this crap keeps up though, I'll just keep it. I'm not gonna give it away, and I could sure use the money from it to buy me a new CHARTPLOTTER and bottom machine.
