You should tell them the windsheild has recently been "riped" out and replaced as well. *No offense, only joking! * ;D
Good Luck!!!
ps You should include a picture of those coolers full of fluke!! 8)

Thanks BR!! There are 6 people watching it right now.
But I wonder how many are V20 people wanting to see what she sells for??

I think your going to deter some buyers with the capital letter statements at the end of your ad. I always put in disclaimers, but I put them in in the same font except I used red to highlight it. It gets the message across, but doesn't make you look like your demanding.
I personally would put at the end of your description, "Bid to win. This is a no reserve auction, you bid and it can be yours. My opening bid is what my reserve would have been, so bid to win." or something along those lines. This has worked for me in the past.
Or you could start your bidding out lower, and hope a bidding war breaks out at the end. Also include how long you will store the item for. You may also want to consider certified cashiers check for your deposit. I know for the longest time I had a PAYPAL account, but it had a $500 limit on it(that was my limit on my debit card). I've had to pass on auctions before because of the PAYPAL deposit.
Just trying to help a fellow V-20'er out.

I agree with Ferm, Those disclaimers at the end of the listing do nothing but deter buyers. They provide no real protection against non-paying bidders or scams. They may however give off the impression that you are unreasonable or just plain mean. Remember when people are buying a boat they want a pleasant experience, its supposed to be fun. If they think you are going to kick their but when they come to look at or pick up the boat they may not bid ;D Also include your reason for selling as this will probably be one of the first questions people will ask.

I see your points Therm and Mulv but I don't think its hurting anything. Just my opinion.
MJ - I think your 125 rating at 100% positive say everything about you. More than words in the ad could ever say. The cap disclaimers might even deter the scammers!

I still think you should work the Lefty photo into the add, no one will care that its on another boat. You could put something like "look what shows up on a V-20" or "chicks dig V-20's".
Oh, and I don't think you should mislead people into thinking you are nice. ;)

23' FORMULA OPEN CUDDY, 1975

Man I was close, I was going to guess a 24' Offshore cause I remembered a post where you posted pictures of one back when we were talking about a 24' Wellcraft.
Did you see that 24' Grady that was posted on Criagslist on 8/17 or 8/18 with an i/o for $7800. Looked pretty good.

Two issues with Grady's, though I/O's have a certain degree of advantage they are still effected.
1. Pre-88 hulls or maybe 89 I'm not 100% on the year have serious problems with the transoms and stringers, it seems that the y used staples to hold together the layers of ply type wood and they also did not seal the transoms from moisture well.
Results- staples rust out and transoms delaminate, there has been more than a few catastrophic failures on the water.
2. They pre 88-89 hulls ride like crap in a chop, will knock your fillings loose, if you have been in an old style Boston Whaler hull you will know exactly what I'm talking about. They changed the hulls in both boat lines and made a world of difference.
Don't get me wrong both of these hulls are very stable and sea worthy, but ride like crap. And thats coming from a guy who has and still does fish on them for many years, and yea I still love them but would not own one.

I had an '89 Grady 25' Sailfish. I didn't see any signs of transom trouble but I wasn't looking real hard either.
It didn't ride as good as my V-20.
It sucked gas like crazy (2-200 Evinrudes on bracket).
It had a great fishing cockpit.
I miss that boat and I'm glad its gone.

Well I just went to see the Formula, Still shrink wrap on it >:(
Spoke to the guy for a while and it might be the right boat?? Wants me to give him a call next week when he has more time to uncover.
Says he no wants to uncover if someone not serious cause its $150 to get it covered again.
Cheap a$$ He has a $600,000 house and bissness and worryed about $150, he won't have to cover if he uncovers and sells!
The search goes on!!

A buddy of mine has a 23' GW gulfstream and can't afford to tow it 100 miles let alone fill up the 150 gallon gas tank only to be sucked out in a few hours.
Hell I can't afford to run my V-21 across the lake right now. :'(

MJ, is $5,500 the budget. This way if I see something I will post it. I just saw what looks like a great deal on a 25' Grady for $10,000.

If it comes down to V or Angler, you'd be a fool to sell the V. Get the formula or keep looking.

Air, and others, what about the difference between an Aquasport and a V? Just curious. I really like the lines on the Aquasport as well as the V.

For a bunch of years the AquaSport and V were built together, same factory, same materials, same workforce.
I've always been a fan of Aquasports. I fished on my Dads 21 W/A for 9 years and it was a solid boat.
