ok heres the dilemma. i would like to go fishing at night and i have soft bimini top on my boat which has the tubing that goes throught it. i was looking for any lights that would pretty much clamp onto it or for any suggestions on what to do.
Thanks

A couple of easy options. Just use some plastic cable tie wraps or electrical tape to your bimini bows and your good.

i used to use a 12 volt flouresent light i picked up at pep boys. it was made to plug into a cig lighter, i cut off the plug & hard wired it into a switch on the dash. i drilled holes in the bimini tubing and was able to snake the wire through the tube. it was exposed where the top bolts to the gunnel. worked for about 4 years till the salt got to it. i just tie wraped the light to the tube in the top.

thats a good idea. ok heres one more question... what if i wanted to put the top down or take it off... do you know of any battery powered lights that are bright enough to give me some light on the deck of the boat so i wouldnt have to worry about the wires?

(you know, I got to get the rope lights connected to the V to see how good or bad they may or may not work, just seems like that would be the best setup)

leds on underside of gunnel not mounted yet just taped on to see how they look ...... not blinding but enough light to see where you are going look great at night !!!! got these from superbright l.e.d.s these are the six led lights 65.00 for 8 lights 2 on each side gunnel and 1 on each side up front 2 in the cabin pics dont do them justice

We did this to my buddies softtop on his Grady and made it where you can disconnect a plug at the base of the bimini to take it off.

what i did follow me on this one
i got a white backup light for a truck thats completly sealed,
i made a u bracket and screwed the light to the bracket, i made the bracket out of scrap metal band the i had
next i mounted the light and bracket to aflat piece of wood with 1 screw so it can be turned and attached wires with alagator clips and just attache the clips to a battery which i take onboard so i dont drain my battery and it lights up the whole deck and comes of at night when i go home
it sounds complicated but its very easy
oh yeah i got the light from a trucking comp that i know very cheap cost wise
now if your looking for a spotlight to mount to your rail i cant help you because i want one too
i seen them on boats but cant find them anywhere
deck light no problem
spot light a problem,i would just make one myself

there is actually 2 traffic cones in my boat ..... it directs me around.....actually a pvc pipe goes in both of them and holds the tarp up to keep water from settling on the cover.... genius huh?
