Guys, I'm seriously considering the purchase of a boat in Wilmington, NC. Is there anybody on the forum that would be willing to check it out for me?

I would greatly appreciate and if I purchase, beer will be my thank you present.

BGA,

I know we have two or three guys who live in Wilmington on the board, "bcmarinamanager" is one of em and he has been on here recently.

I have to work Fri, Sat, Sun, but could run down there Monday or Tuesday. Its a 3 hour ride for me one way, but for you, I'll do it (if none of the Wilmington boiz show up).

RM, thank you for your very kind and gracious offer. I wouldn't want you to drive that far just for me; that's a serious drive. I'm very humbled and grateful that you would do such a thing for me. Thank you buddy.

I'll wait to see if the Wilmington boys respond. If not, then I'll make the road trip and maybe I could stop in and say hi to some of the NC boys along the way, as Cy suggested. I love NC; I had an opportunity to live there once. I'm bummed that I passed it up. That said, I really like where I live now as well... Anyway, I digress... Thanks again for the very generous offer.

BGA, my brother-in-law lives in Wilmington. Send me a link or an address and I'll see how close by he is. I'm sure he will do it if close by and he has some time.

No worries BCM. What boat are you talking about without a motor?

BR, thank you brother...

Hey BGA,

It's not unusual for me to hope on my motor and ride to Wilminton for lunch this time of year, or any time of year for that matter. I ride with several guys who love fresh seafood (me being one of em).

But I was thinking about heading the other direction Monday, trout season (you know, rainbow, brown, brook) opens Saturday in the mountains. Another buddy of mine and I have a tradition of going the week after opening day when we can and we are both off Monday and Tuesday.

I'm sure BR's BIL will come through for you.

Well, that was quick... :-( Somebody came by with cash today and bought the boat.

I guess I better get some cash in hand and be ready to travel at any time if I want to get a good deal...

Man, that was a nice boat!

Thanks for your offers to help guys. Maybe next time...

You are probably better off without that one, they only have like 10 degrees deadrise so they beat you up in any kind of seas.

And I've seen a lot of them for sale in that age range with rotten floors.

There, feel better?

That boat was a piece of junk. My BIL looked at it and turned and ran as fast as he could!!

(just kidding, but thought it might make you feel better)

No seriously, BIL has yet to email back so I dunno if he got the email yet.
