And unless the laws have changed in Carolina, "THERE AIN'T NO SUCH THING AS A LEGAL PISTOL''.
In other words, it must be : unloaded, locked in a box with key not readily accessable, ammo stored in box and not readily accessable seperate from the firearm.
This defeats the self defense possibilities.
And carry permits weren't available to citizens.
