Hi guys,I need to remove both gas tanks for maintenance.Is it a major job and how does one go about it?......Brian

You are saying Gas Tanks, meaning two?? If so I guess you have 76 or older cuddy with saddle bags 20 gal on each side of the boat.

They are easy!!

Not as big a deal to do as most people make it out to be. It's a bigger deal to NOT remove a tank that NEEDS to be replaced.

It was easier for me to unbolt and remove the filler caps, then loosen the clamps on the vent tubes, then remove the screws to the floor from the tank, then slide the tank out being careful about the sending unit wires, now you can get to the exit hose and loosen it. Oh and all this is much easier with the tank empty.
