The FWC believes that the red snapper are becoming endangered. Last thursday a meeting was held about the current limits of red snapper. They decided to cut our limit in half to ONLY TWO. How does that help anything when we sit in a boat all day throwing small snapper back to watch them get eaten by flipper? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF2axZOQJQ0&eurl=http://www.orangebeach.ws/index.html

And don't forget the 16" size limit they changed it to. Yet the commercial guys are allowed to keep a 13" RED SNAPPER. The FWC isn't the ones passing these laws, it is all the NMFS and the GOMFMC. Also take not of how they are trying to screw us on our GROUPER fishing as well. They are trying to take and turn our recreational industry into a catch and release fishery, yet leave the commercial guys plenty of catch. Also don't forget to look into the "Islands in the stream" proposal for several hundred square miles of federally protected non harvest prohibited zones. We are slowly losing our rights here in FLORIDA.
