Hi guys, Haven't posted for a while but have been checking in occasionally. All is well on the left coast. Here is a Tuna update...

The wife's car was evicted from her side of the garage when the winter rains began. It's now parked on my side of the garage which I use as a shop. The downside is that I have to move the car everytime I want to use the tools. The upside is that the V is cozy, dry and happy. Also it's easy to work on no matter what the weather is outside.

The winter project list includes replacing the slides for the bow hatch, building an anchor pulpit, new dash, new cuddy door, new seats/pedestals, installing new gauges, downrigger and a dive ladder like Hammer's. So far the slides, anchor pulpit, and dash are complete. The cuddy door should be finished this weekend.

A couple of notes on the pictures... The anchor pulpit was fashioned after the ones some of you installed a year or so ago. Like all the woodwork it is mahogany. I shaped it then let the wood soak for 3 weeks in a tub covered with a waterproofing deck treatment. I routed/carved the cuddy door design last weekend. The recessed portions will be stained a darker mahogany color then deck treatment applied to the whole door and frame.

The UPS guy brought my some goodies last week. The picture of the porch was what I came home to last Tuesday. It's the rest of the stuff discussed above. An hour after the picture was taken my living room looked like a tornado had gone through.

The last picture is of my newest hobby. For my birthday I got the meat grinding/sausage stuffing attatchment for our KitchenAid mixer. Thats 5# of Kielbasa and 5# of sweet Italian sausage I'm holding. I think I'm gonna need to look into one of those cholesterol lowering Rx's I see adverised on TV all the time.

looks great, lotta of the guys here are starboard freaks, but i like the look of wood. I know its a PIA every coupla years, but it looks great when its done..

My mom has a sausage attachment for hers, but its too freaky looking when the casing is filling up. i'd rather eat it than see it made.

Hey TUNA HEAD!!! Glad to see you are still alive. That woodwork looks great, I especially like the dash.

How's that 140 doing? Are you as pleased with it as I am with mine?

Keep grinding your sausage!

Thanks for the warm welcome back guys.

Randleman, I love Zuki! I had the boat loaded last summer with a full gas tank and 6 guys in free diving gear (weight belts, wet suits...) and it still got up on a plane.

Lumber, thanks. I grew up working in my dad's cabinet shop. I can't weld, can't wire and I can only recognize a spark plug 2 out of 3 times but wood work I am comfortable with.

Tsubaki.... ummmm... you're talking about the sausages... right?

Randleman, the 19 pitch seems to the the all around winner.

Bradford, your prison comment was funnier than you realize... I work in a jail.
