Wow, that is one head-turner of a boat. If I just had a couple million bucks I would have that thing in my fleet.

You only need $5K to add it to the Nipper fleet!

Actually, unless it has structural issues or the restoration was sub-standard, that's a pretty good deal. It's a sweet Downeast style boat, reminds me of a Wasque. If it was here in the Lowcountry I'd go have a look, but 1. I don't want to pay to transport it down here, and 2. I don't want to make the PD jealous. ;)

Looking at that old boat got me curious about how much the old woodies go for. Jeez, some of them are really expensive--up to $100k. I saw this exact same boat (i.e. not a sistership--it was this boat, I can tell by the registration numbers) listed by a wooden boat broker for $20,000. It appears the guy needs to move it quick and is now listing it for a steal at $5k.

One thing to note about the boat in the pictures... It is hanging in the slings with the bottom barely wet. Seeing as how this is a recent restore I've got to wonder if they were letting her "soak up".

Maybe they screwed up the seams or the caulking and she just never stopped leaking? That would be a shame.
