Live from Costa Rica, day 2

Brother Willy, I've not been able to covertly get any pics of the "Ticas" yet...but I will.

Here's a fish report that I'm putting on a few other sites. Enjoy the pics, I'm going out to drink a bunch more Rum...




Here’s a mid winter report that will get the blood pumping. Today was our first day fishing in Los Suenos, Costa Rica. To say that we were on fire may be an understatement. Before the riggers were laid down we were hooked up and landed a 20ish# Dorado.

We finally got the baits out, and had good action right away. We had three teaser bites and the fish switched off to a pitch bait each time, but we started 0 / 3…

We got on the ball right after that, finishing up the day with 12 bites, 9 came tight, and 7 releases. We had one broken hook, and another fish busted the leader. What an awesome day of fishing with a great crew aboard the “Sailfish”, a 35 Bertram. I learned several ways to rig ballyhoo on circle hooks, and man do they swim pretty. Here’s a few pics to hold ya over for a day…

Day three is in the books. Zip line through the jungle. The local talent is amazing. I'm havingn somuch fun I may not come home. Willy would be proud...I have put a hurtin on the local RUM supply :) And where are the emoticons to put in the posts?

Any how, my company has just gone to bed and I'm headed to a bar here in the resort called the HOOK UP.

Nice going! Glad you getting into fish, and not to much trouble!! I grew up with a few guys who after there 1st trip down there, ended up going ever winter for 10 weeks working @ the local Soda's for cash and fish/surfed every day :-)... I wish I wasn't the responsible one :-(

Anyhow, I was a bad boy last night. Rolled in about 330 and had to fish today. I got to work the pit, rig baits, and went 4/4 on hooking sails, where the mate only went 3/5 :) Also got a nice mahi.

Pics coming later. Going into detox next week :)

Go to the CP, scroll all the way down, and select the "enhanced editor" orwhat ever it is...basic is the default setting.
