Were the transoms really that low originally? That's pretty serious right there.

My transom is the same as the one pictured. It is constantly taking water over the back. I have yet to have any water come over the splashwell and into the boat so I don"t think its unsafe. Its just disconcerting to see water coming over the back of your boat.

Hammer won't have that probably with his project V 8) He raised her 5".

Ohhh, I forgot about the splashwell. I see it now... Never mind. As you said, still a little disconcerting, but not as bad as I had thought...

HAMMER, I don't have a bench and don't miss it.
that would just be more people asking for rides.
Besides, that is one of those fancy cooler seats,
probably just takes up too much room.

As far as water over the transom, mine is the same and as long as it doesn't come over the splashwell,
I could care less.

What's with that anchor windlass?
Do you think it is big enough?
