Ok I KNOW it is on here somewhere, but I cant find it. There is a post about a plastic company that make Rod Holder inserts (the ones for the walls) and they also make other items...takle boxes..hatches..etc...Anyone know where???

I used SSI located in Maryland. Very little cutting and excellent quality. Good luck

Flounder pounder marine. fpmarine.com. I got the 3 rod boxes last year and they fit fine w/ just a little trimming. Look good too. Look for the post in modifications under my name.

Happy to report that they are holding up well, and have been well used to boot. FP Marine gave great service also.

I'll second Flounder Pounder marine. I just ordered the 2 rod boxes, "unfinished" for 115.00 including shipping.
"Ken" at FP was great to deal with.
BTW the unfinished boxes need the holes drilled (2 inch holesaw) and bungee cord retainers installed. I'd rather save $45.00 a box and do it myself.

Hey AS did you have the same problem I am...It seems that the inserts are a little too smal for my cutout????
Cutout, though slanted on each ende is about 63inches at the longest point.
New inserts (according to website) 54-55 inches long
height seems to be OK...just wondering because you said you had very minimal trimming but, it looks like those wont even work on my boat w/o fiberglassing in som of the wall??

AS,
When you installed yours, what sealant adhesive did you use?

I got the 3 rod boxes. The lenght was fine but I had to trim about 1/2 or maybe 1/4" from the top of the cutout if my memory serves me. As far as sealant, I ran an experiment. I had a tude a GE tub and shower pure silicone sealant that I used since it was there. Holding up fine after a year and change.
