All installed and works like a charm!!!! Thats the good news!
The Bad news is that they want like $800 to $900 to LineX the deck of the boat!! :o Nope I not going to spend that much!! >:(
So need to figure out what is the best deck paint, epoxy what ever??
do it yourself.........60 to 70bucks a gallon at home depot or menards......you get the roller and directions

Very nice. I just blasted and painted mine also. Did you have any trouble getting it off of the engine? I broke off 2 bolts, tried everything to get them out. Finally had to take it to work, cut them out on the milling machine and helicoil them..shhhhh.

I was lucky!! I never broke a thing!! It all came off pretty easy.
Except the spliting of the motor mount. It was stuck on the steering tube pretty good. After playing nice for a while, I took a coal chisle and a 3 pound hammer and it came right apart *;D
I got it all on today and it works great!!

Vic, the pump was solid rust!! flaking off!! and i thought it had rusted thur.
But it did not and is real thick metal there. That is were the armacher (can't spell) spins.
So I removed in back in Dec I think and took a grinder with a heavy wire wheel and got all the rust off.
Tghen i painted it with 3 coats of ZRC:
http://www.zrcworldwide.com/galds.htm
Then I cleaned the whole unit with thinner, and put 3 coats of Yamaha paint on the whole thing.
I bleed out the whole system and refilled with all new tilt oil. Put new seals on the pistion caps and a new O ring on the fill screw.
Works like a charm now!! and i hope it will be rust free for a long time to come!!
