Chumbucket...

As a "GOD", but more importantly, as a fellow V-20 CC Fisherman owner, I have a repair question about my '83 V-20 CC. Up forward, in the setup section, the bottom (floor part) in the aftermost (of two) storage locker is soft. It is the locker (or fishwell) with the overboard drain. Do you, or any others have any ideas on how best to fix it? Should I cut out, and replace the bottom floor of the stoage locker, or what??

Thanks
C-Bill

Well, first of all, I technically no longer own the V20 CC. :'( I'm just hanging out here being a bum.
Mine had a plastic liner inside. If it were mine, I'd be making a fiberglass liner for it. Fabricate the right size box constructed of 1/4" ply, epoxy resin and glass matt, fair the outside, then make the liner.

I belive someone else here has the same problem?

Wellcraft made a crap floor there and they will need to cut it out and replace it!!

I belive CB says a piece of Starboard & 5200 will solve the problem for good!!

You might also want to check with Flounder Pounder Marine. They have a large selection of liners and with any luck, they may have what you're looking for. Some of the guys here on the site have dealt with them with good reports.

While the kitchen sink thing has become slightly attractive lately in my futile search. I don't really know. The ones I've looked at over the winter just didn't pan out for one reason or another. Motor probs, not coming to agreement with PO, brokers, you know. All the usual schtuff when buying a boat.
I've been leaning towards a small (20' or so) Downeast Lobstering style hull. Something with a small cabin, possibly a wheelhouse, with good deck space. Found a few over the winter, but as I mentioned, one was through a broker >:( the other was a private sale and just couldn't meet the owners asking price.

The search continues. Just haven't had lots of time. :'(

Something along the lines of this. This is a 22' and I'm looking for a 19-20'

CB, why not yank the console out of a CC V20, then you and MJ.take some Starboard and put back a pilot house... :D
