TOOK OUT MOTOR TODAY LESS THAN 40 MIN JOB, I HAVE DONE HUNDREDS OFF CARS AND TRUCKS NEVER SAW SOMETHING THIS EASY, TOOK THE HEAD OFF AND #4 PISTON BLOWN, THANK GOD FOR MY BIG ENG LIFT PULLED MOTOR PULLED MOTOR WITH ROOM TO SPAREhttp://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d57/captbent/v20/p1010010.jpg

NO ILL STAY WITH AN I/O I THINK IT WOULD TAKE JUST AS MUCH TIME TO PULL AN OUTBOAD OFF AS IT TOOK ME TO PULL A I/O AND A NEW LONGBLOCK IS ABOUT A 1/6 OF THE PRICE OF AN OUTBOARD AND ILL BE ABLE TO TROLL ALLDAY AT 600 RPMS I CAN BLOW 6 MOTORS TO YOUR ONE LOL

IT CAN BE SAVED BUT I AM GOING TO BUY A NEW REBUILT LONGBLOCK, THIS MOTOR IS ALLREADY 30 OVER

garage, yes everyone liks my garage, i share it with two other friends, we have 4 boats in there one is a 37' searay , its 200,000 sq feet with a 10' x 13'6 door and it has a lot of toys in there we even drive go carts in there i call it the batcave

i am sorry did mean men like you or me who can do the motor work them selfs, i mean the poor guy that has to go back to the stealer i mean dealer every time there motor takes a crap

oh it's aight lol. I trying to talk a guy out of a bracket at the coast. It's on a destroyed 2400 Aqua Sport. I hope he will let me get it, if so i'll post pics and let you guys make offers. It's an Armstrong with a 225 Johnson.

40 min?? How many people working with you??
There is no way you got to the rear bolts, and the outdrive in 40 min!!!
Takes that long to figure it out, and get set up!!
But none the less you got it out!! and thats the hard part!!
make sure you replace the engine coupler before you re assemble!! Sucks when you add new power get it in the water and bam you blow the old worn out coupler and have to pull the motor again!!
See if you can get a aluminum
Don't forget to get the alignment tool when you reinstall! Got to make sure its straight or you are going to have problems down the road!!

my son helped me i use air tools and i have been pulling motors out of cars and trucks for 32 years,and this is no car is is cake walk lol and my son said may 45 min what can i say

LOL, aluminumn Oil Pan When mine rotted out I got one. Cause I did not want ton pull the motor anymore then I had to.
Also hows the mounting holes for the front mount?? This is a rot spot on most? You might eaither have to replace the ply there or fill with something and redriil the hole.

two are good two soft i was going to fill holes with epoxy and drill and use new lag bolts

Better then the new oil pan, how about getting it LineX ?? That should last for ever!!
I just try to think of all while it is out!! I hate doing things 10 times.

Check that mount arear where the motor mounts go, I had a little softness in a couple of spots and ended up putting stringers in.
