OK so I hope the link works!! As you will see the deck is pretty rotted and the cc needs some work. Can't see but the floor is really soft back by the engine and the engine cover is shot. When I stuck my hand down in the bilge the stringers at the transom were gone, and the transom was dirt at that point as well. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j41/regidog/

Regidog,
How is the motor ??, did you get a good deal on the boat ?. If the motor runs good, your starting out good.
The gouges and deep scrapes in the hull, they look bad, BUT there not. Trust me, if you seen the pictures I submitted before on my keel and strikes...I think thats what you call them, they looked bad to. If you are willing to put in some elbow greese, she will be fine. I havent touched bono or fiberglass since i graduated from H.S. back in 1984. I grinded down all the damaged area on my hull and repaired it with cloth and with WEST SYSTEM. I never worked with West System or cloth before, but can tell ya that the repairs that I have made are now stronger then the whole boat. So get out the grinder and start grinding : )
The same thing for all those spider cracks. I have them to along with old holes here and there. I myself would again grind it all down and fair it out with West System and cloth, BUT, the guys here might know a better and quicker way. As far as soft spots, dont buy that Cluvit stuff, I bought it and it didnt work. The right way is to cut out the floor, but since I'm under the gun, I simply shot some foam under the deck and that resupported my two soft spots. It was aquick fix. Its better, but I wish I had the time to do it right. Maybe next year. : )
As far as the deck. I was worried myself about cutting the deck out, but it isnt really a big deal. As long as you got time and this web site...it can be done : )
Dont get disgusted or give up, your just another boater that has a boat that needs slightly more work then some of the others. So what are your plans as to where to start first ??, if only the rear deck is bad, just cut out the rear, check out the stringers when the deck is pulled and lets take her from there. Keep us posted with those PICS !! : )

I was told the engine was rebuilt 60 hrs ago, outdrive is a fresh rebuild, trailer is in good shape. The work doesn't scare me and I've worked with fiberglass but not on structural areas like stringers and transoms.
My plan is to remove the deck, flip it over, and cut off the fiberglass from underneith. replace all the 1/4 plywood than refiberglass.
The rear floor I am going to cut out and gain access to the stringers to assess the damage. At this point I think its only bad at the connection to the transom. That could change very quickly.
The transom was reworked from the inside once already so I figure I will remove it from the inside as well. At this point I figure I am on a full restortion basis. I really like this boat so it will take time and patience and some good advice.
First thing I want to do is get the engine running so I can pull it and know I go that taken care of.
Seem like a good plan??
