You can tell the old ones weren't built as well :-/ . They use to cut corners by using wood scraps and squares to build floors. Those were bad about getting soft without even being rotten. They would get loose in the floor and then start to be soft and not even have any rott. ???

Yea, I have to put it all back together and tow it to Delaware to get my 4 stroke put on- after glass work, paint and wiring, fuel tank, new steering, installing the bracket I can't order till the transom is closed in.....yawwwn!

Barely any time to work!

Keep on keeping on! It is a longer road than you plan but you will have the boat like you like it if you take your time. If it was me I would not go for less than a 25" transom. That is really a 26" transom counting the angle.

How about if you got It back from the insurance company for free, and $9500.00 after it was capsized for 45 minutes--that's $211.00 per minute shee-it my v-20 makes more than a hooker on it's back in an hour!

R-a-peelin I checked the forward stringers (drill into them method) and found nice dry wood so I think i'll leave the bottom skin in tact...tell me more about foam...The existing foam is good too I hole sawed a peak at ti.
