M.J., be careful reinstalling the control box. If its anything like my mercury control, you must make sure that the shifter arm is in neutral or it will go together, but to tight and not causing it to shift properly. Most of all, look for loose wires...as I missed the last time and friend my wires.
5:am in the morning and cant sleep. :'( :'( :'( :'(

Thats the screw, that Skool circled for ya. Might also have a tension washer as well. Make sure the throttle control arm is down as well when putting it back together.

I gave up earlier and will try again later!!
I found two wires off before I tryed to get it toghter!
But I am having a hard time lineing up the shifter to the other part inside??
Also there is what I think is the nuteral saftey switch, that has a button on it, I thinki it is stoping me from getting all the way to one side??
I going for a nap and then will try again, This thing sucks!!
Thanks for the help guys I think?? ;D ;)
If not for you guys I would have left it alone and had him take it some were, Now that I have it apart I will have to fix it!!
Thanks guys!

they are so much fun to work on aren't they lol, the handle doesn't matter on a OMC it can be installed any way you want so the handle is confy for the user.

Are the 2 yellow wires in the box that go to a white switch up against the arm, the neutral safety switch??
The reason I ask is that the switch broke ::) and if I just put the wires together will it still work??
I Hate this control box!! I will never ***** about Yamahas box again!!
