Managed to drive a screw through my FF transducer wire! It's aGarmin 120. Anyone know how to fix it. I think it's coax.

I don't think you can? You may have to get a new transducer. Call Garmin they very good to deal with they tell you all you need to know.
Here is a new one for yours, not to bad price if you like the machine.

I cut a garmen and its got several little insulated wires inside the black cable. You can splice them together using regular electricans caps and shrink tape them. I did mine over two years ago and so far so good even the temp gauge works..Frank

what frank said works too but if it's coax just get some RG-58 connectors and then use a barrel to put back together like you would an antenna wire ext.

Thanks everyone. First I'll try to splice it. It seems to have worked for sfprovyn. If that doesn't work I'll buy one.

They splice fine. Just take your time and be thorough and you'll still have good performance.

Thorough is my middle name. Not really, but less embarassing than my real one! ;D

What sfprovyn said is true for the ones I have spliced in the past. ;)

I would also reccomend using some liquid electrical tape on it as well as putting a piece of marine grade heat shrink(with adhesive lining) over it.
