Has anybody had to rebuild this motor? I am not sure If I should rebuild it or buy a rebuilt. I do not know where to look to get a reuilt does anybody have any ideas?

If you are thinking of rebuilding you can easy repair the hole in the transom and add a bracket and outboard!

those are easy motors to rebuild, but before you get going on it, pull the circulation pump and see if the front cylinder is corroded, thE cavitation behind the pump erodes(especially in salt) the area direectly behind it on the first cylinder wall. pick at it with a screw driver and see how much rust comes off. Cylinder heads are getting hard to find for those motors, if yours has overheated, or been run in salt, have it pressure tested before starting and machine work
