well the project 21 when she bites it hurts lol. well i'm the type that goes for perfection way to far many say, but i noticed that the tilt bushing was a little worn and i wanted it 100% right to sell and for me too, not that it was hurting anything but i was anal to it. well the day started out moved the V out the 21 in took the steering off the motor figured i could do this on the boat. big mistake. well the steering tube was stuck on one side so i got out the new one and checked it yeap it was right one for the motor as well so i cut beat and cused the one in the motor. after missing and hitting the transom not once but twice with a 3lb hammer and now needing to fix a gash in the transom the tube was still stuck. well took the motor off the boat finally got the tube out but not before getting the tilt section in a bind and busted the tilt trim pump section oh yeah fluid every where. now i'm pissed even more. so i go to the parts pile find my other midsection from a 1991 200 evinrude that i had completlely rebuild and was a brand new tilt section so i took it apart and then took the tilt section all of it even the mounting sides for the motor and swapped out. the 91 is a beefer one anyway so it's stronger but still i did all this for a $3.47 part wow i'm tired and the motor is still off the boat so i can repair my glass damage plus have to paint the evinrude section white to match the johnson. what a day from hell in 100* weather ugh ok i'll get pics later and pics of the repairs.

Ohhhh man!!! So sorry Skools. Man, that sort of a thing happens to me a lot too. Trying to do something perfectly only to mess something else up and then have to do 10 times the work.

Hang in there bro. It's a good thing you have all those extra parts laying around. If that had happened to any of us, we'd be out labor and money.

asking $9500 but any member can get it for what i have in it. $9000 cash may lower that thought lol.

Nice save brother...you know stuff like that is bound to happen sooner or later. Just the good old Lord making you pay a little for all of the good luck you normally have. 8)

Bad things make good things possible.

I mean think about it - if everything in life were "good" and nothing bad, we wouldn't have anything to compare the "good" to - therefore everything would be the same and "good" would lose its value.

Kinda warped logic - I know :-/

thanks guys i'm glad it worked out as it did i guess that way i can feel like i actually fixed a broken boat instead of rebuilding the whole darn thing lol
