What does it mean when drops of water come from the middle of the thermostat? Sorry about the second pic... I couldn't get it sized properly. Anyway, do I simply need to replace the thermostats? If so, do you have any recommendations as to where to buy it? Should I replace both just to be consistent? Is it expensive? Is this an easy repair?

Sounds to me like you've got a leaky gasket or fitting. When I put in a new waterpump it found all the leak points in my motor--had to tighten a few hose clamps. I'm no expert though. ???

that's not the t stat on your motor it under that center spot where the 2 heads pipes tie together in the top of the block. just take that cover off and clean up well and either buy a new rubber gasket and reinstall or just clean up old one if it looks good just coat both sides with gasket sealer and reinstall. if you use sealant give it over night before testing but new gasket just hook to hose and crank her up.

here's your t stat only has 1 in those motors in later yrs to be little move even on head temps.

Ohhhh, well that doesn't sound so bad :P I thought it was the thermostat. Sorry for the confusion.

I was just trying to keep Skool's on his toes ;D Just kidding, thanks buddy. I'll look into it later today and report back.
