I'd add $200 to the budget(executive priviledge) and get an X-15 Lowrance...you won't regret it...look around...you might find that unit on E-Bay or somethin' for less than a grand...$999.99 is price in catalogs... :D
Phil, is that a 20 or 25" transom on your '75?...

25" Motor appears to be a '88 merc 200 hp. Just bought boat.... I've ordered the manual etc. Seems to be in great condition. Went out last Mionday.. 65 deg in Virginia. Ran it around for about 1.5 hrs and it ran great. .. so I bought it.

I have no idea!! I like seprate units!! I have a Garmin 160 fishfinder & 162 Garmin Chart ploter. I love them!!
And if one screws up I still have the other!
Just mt .02 cents worth.

I really like Garmin products. They've served me well and have easy menus to navigate. ;)

I second having separate units. And Garmin is definitely a good brand.
I just wouldn't want to have to split an already small screen between the GPS and fishfinder.
