I had 2 when I was younger and both were 4hp. I asked sears if they made anything larger (hp wise) and I was told you had to go to another motor (not a ted williams) because these were termed for "pond use".

I had a 7.5 Teddy years ago, worked fine and dandy!!

I had a Ted Williams 7hp and I think they also sold a 7.5hp. I really liked it!! My 7, was aircooled which gave it a great power to weight ratio! the throttle was a slide bar type and had both a remote fuel fitting and internal tank. After I removed and trashed the useless cowling it was very easy to work on.

my father had a sears boat and a ted williams motor dont recall hp or the yr . I was still very young had to be very early 60's because i was born in 1959

Hey Lumber, dont feel bad, I was born Aug. 1 , 59 . Ive got two 9.9 Ted Williams Motors . If ya pull the cover off the flywheel says Techumse,and the're air cooled. One runs, ones for parts.They were given to me.

I've got a 56(?) Corsair 7.5 and a 1907 Single Cylinder "one lunger" marine engine. And yes, they are much older than I am
