That's a good solid V-20 weekend! ;)
How many gallons per hour did it work out to? (GPH) That's how I measure fuel consumption.

Phat...if ya can have that much fun for $100 these days, I say GO FOT IT!!...and outta that, how many others enjoyed the boat?...you'd have never gotten away from some theme park for that ;) ...
when my oldest told me ridin' the tube behind the boat was more fun than Top-Gun @ Carowinds, I knew I'd stumbled onto somethin' good ;) ...

Theme Park? A family of four can spend that in a couple of hours bowling.

pipe, i didn't look at the hourmeter before i started, but i made 5 trips to the island at 20 miles round trip. i've always heard to approximate the fuel per hour burn , it is 10% of horsepower, so a 150 uses 15 gph. this is general rule and i am sure ther are many exceptions.
i am sure it is money well spent. three of us went to see pirates III and it was $35 for 2 hrs & 45 minutes..

I pumped 31 gallons and quit when I hit $100. That was at $3.149 a gallon. I've never pumped that much gas into anything except diesel into an 18 wheeler. Heck, I only put $20 a week in the truck, luckily work is only 4 miles away ;D

i like to keep mine full, to cut down on the condensation during the summer, and give me a 60 gallon storage tank for hurricane season.

we went to six flags a few weeks ago and spent well over $100. for the four of us.
and the baboons arent even loose any more.
they used to climb all over your car and rip off your body side molding and wipers and antena.
now they are stuck behind a fence and they just look at you as you drive by.
that sucked.

Hmmm, I don't believe that's right, at least not in my limited experience. My old worn-out 155 burned 5-8 gph, and my 200 averages about 5.

if your 200 is getting 5gph and you average 30 mph, you getting 6mpg. i believe the 10% rule is WOT. if you troll for 5 hours, you will get better gas mileage that if you cruise. thats why i use mpg, more usuful to my needs than gph. i don't have a fuel guage and don't really think they are very accurate on a boat. i set my gps when i fill up and figure 2mpg useage, that gives me a range of 120 miles with 20% reserve( actual mileage is 2.4) not saying this is the best method, but its the way my math challenged mind can handle it.

actually she dislikes the mall & shopping more than i do, but she knows my daughter loves it and it is a threat that works. she wants to go in the boat more than i do.

BigShrimpin, yes, I have an 88' 2.0l Merc 150. She's great on fuel. I cruise around 3.3 mpg normal load. It's about a tenth worse with this new prop, but I know I can lift the motor 2 holes running this rev4. The rev 4 also has noticably more sterring torque.
