If i buy this 25 ft 86 AquaSport will you still let me hang out here? ??? It's a nice rig for the money. I think i can get it for $1500 complete. I don't like the motor even if it is a OMC it's a 300 HP V8 *:o .

lol yeah i'll keep the wellcraft but may have to stick to the Aquasport for a bit. want to take the gas hog off and put a single 225 on her. it hasn't got room for twins unless i bracket an outboard boat .

well the boat had a soft transom and i didn't feel like another one in the yard in need of that kind of work. i have 9 vessels here now. I figured it was due to the V8 outboard 300 hanging on it.plus a 40 hp kicker.

hey skools, umm pardon, lord skools, how are the aquasports? Never owned one ,never been in one but I've always liked them. Are they seaworthy, nice ride, dry ride etc etc....just curious. That boat looks like a steal, bad transom or not.

yeah they are a super nice boat. Same exact lines as a Mako. they look like the exact same mold actually. Both a great boats, ride great and very dry in all seas. Very Heavy boats though.

Hey Skool,
Just out of curiosity, do you make a living working with boats, or it just a big hobby for you? In either case, I aspire to be you.

well thanks you B93
no i work for the State of NC as a Communications Specialist. I just do boats, cars, drag cars, model yard trains, and *racing Stand Up jet skis as a fun and hard loved hobby.
I plan to start building boats in the next few years. I've got to move my current boats out of the yard. But i hope to build boats like the boats you'll see at www. Shearlineboatworks.com boats. Boats a a much cleaner easier job than cars and race motors.

We've had an Aquasport 20' for 8 years, and it's a beaut. Think it's a 1985 hull with a 100 HP Mariner, has hit 32 mph while racing a duck. Really solid boat, hardly wet at all unless you do something foolish (like I love to). Very good structurally, but rebuilt the transom in 99/00. Only concern is I dropped it off a 3 or 4 footer this summer at WOT and the floor flexed down upon re-entering the atmosphere to the point that I was stopped by gastank. (Hence my membership of this forum.) They built them to be rugged, and they sure as snot are. The same hull was allegedly (my dad is a bit of a suspect yachtsman) lifted and dropped 4-6 times by an excessive GB wake on some Maine ledge, with no damage.
