Any of you guys work in marine or boat sales for a good size dealer. Any idea what those kind of jobs pay. I would love to be involved in that industry but need to earn when I leave this PD. Just thought it would be a good industry if you love the water and the boats like I do.

It's a commision based payplan Willy. just like selling cars except you can wear shorts and you get off earlier. You can go from 20k to over 6 figures depending on what and how many your selling!

Well in Virginia I knew several guys, only guy I know here is the guy I bought my boat from. The guys in Va did pretty well, some better than others of course. They loved the job, boat show season sucks a little - long days. But lotsa time on the water. We should open a dealership. My brother is a bigwig at Pursuit, he knows people at lotsa other brands. Pick a couple of bay boats and some flats boats, hire a couple of mechanics and lets go!

The problem with anything boating or fishing is tht you will never have time for your own fun!~

I no a guy that use to fish all the time, he got a tackle shop and hasn't been on the water in 2 years now. :(

My brother was head of engineering, now he is in charge of special projects, R&D stuff I think. He is the master of all things regarding fiberglass and resins. He started out doing surfboards! He travels all over working with guys from other boat builders in some alliance having to do with fiberglass stuff
