ever since i sold my bracket on ebay my wife has been hooked! its like a rummage sale around here. i came home early from work wednsday and she was just pullin in from the ups store where she had shipped off my speaker system. no i dont need them. yes, thier still in the box cause i never even hooked the up yet. no, we dont have room for them. and yes, the speakers we have now work fine.
so, what kinda speakers were they? it was a bose 7way surround system that i planned on hookin up in my den when i finish the addition i got planned. so, what did she get for 'em? 100 BUCKS!
so my question is this, i know we got a couple cops on the board, no body, no case, right? i'm gonna chum the water with this b!tch!
heres the kicker, i only bought them cause a friend of a friend owns an electronics store and i got them for $250 cause he put them down as looted with the insurance co. so, technicaly, thier stolen!

My wife has learned that she is only allowed in the man-cave (my garage) with the stipulation that she will not recommend that I;
1. clean this dump
2. sell some of the stuff I don't use (that's for me to decide)
or that she;
3. don't go counting rods and reels (they probably procreate in there when we're asleep ::))
4. don't look at anything with a raised eyebrow.
5. don't look at anything in utter disgust (ie; my home made urinal that drains into the neighbors yard)
6. don't stand there shaking your head (you guys know the look) while panning the cave looking at my wall decorations, refrigerator, TV, stereo (I did compromise and remove the easy chair as it took up too much room)
I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the rules, but you guys get the drift. 8)

I think the best part about Ebay is all the really intelligent questions you get when you list an item. Here's a perfect example. I am currently listing a T-Top I pulled off a 17' Mako CC. It has four rod holders, a nice canvas top and is in generally good shape. Given what recent Tops have gone for I figure a fair price is $650.00 so that what I started the auction bid at. (Bid and you win) The following was an actual e-mail I received from a "Potential Buyer"!
Dear seller, This t-top will only fit certain applications. This means I would have to get this modified to fit my boat. Would you be willing to cut your price in half. Also, gas is not cheap and the fuel to come get this would be over $100 for me. Tx, Joe
Perhaps I should just give him 50 bucks to come haul it to the dump for me :o?

too *funny Chum *!!!!!!! * *;D
Hey Chum - *just curious. * That "man cave" sounds awesome - *is it heated, *or just seasonal *?
Racer - *no doubt your replacement cost on that BOSE system is wayyyy up there *.... *$1000 or more, depending. * Man that EBAY buyer must be smiling *:) *I worked at BOSE where they assembled the speakers - *they are definitely a sweet set-up. *We had a system set-up in the office .... and we would be rockin after 5pm !

I don't have a heating system in the cave. But, it's completely insulated and the boiler for the house is out there which generates enough heat so that in the coldest months during the winter, it never drops below 60 degrees. ;)

60's just about right, CB !! ;) ...
...this thread has answered the age old question:...where do all those great deals come from on E-Bay? ??? ...it's "wife-women" sellin' off their husbands' stuff, havin' NO IDEA what it's worth ::) ...no wonder divorce rate is at all-time high :-/ ...

They either have no idea of the items worth, or they're selling the items based on what I told my wife I paid. ;)Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! ;D

y'all aint gonna believe this...today she calls me. first thing she says is "i,m sorry". i knew it couldnt be good. it seems that she accidently bought a computer on ebay for $400! yep, thats right, accidently. said she saw one and was gonna bid $50 and if she won she would resale it. but she accidently bid on the wrong one right as the auction ended, so she couldnt cancel the bid. when i got home i contacted the dude and, long story not so long, it cost me $35 not to buy the thing and keep my feedback at 100. thats right, accidently,lol
p.s. oh yeah, i got blew(before i contacted the dude)
