why would you bid now that will only run the bid up with 4 days to go i never bid unless there's only 1 min left or i use a snipe program

I use the 8 second rule myself. It doesn't leave any room for error, but it does keep me from bidding higher than I should. I set an amount in mind, and submit it with around 5-8 seconds to go. That way if I don't get it or get outbid, I don't go back and bid more than I priganally felt it was worth. This method has saved me to much to count. And most of the time my bidding with 99 cents on the end has sniped me more than 1 item.

yeah same here Ferm i usually bid with 15 sec to go and i always round up say $50 is what i want to spent i'll bid $51.01 i've won a ton by a penny.

I used to use the penny rule, but then others caught on to it. That's when I went to the 99 cent rule. I also consider the highest bid at say 1 minute left, and then what I'm willing to pay. Most people go for nice round numbers like 20, 50, 75 and so on and so on. So I started going with say $52.98 and odd bids like that. With programs like Esnipe out there, it's tough to get the auctions cheap anymore.

i use snipe swipe alot that way i cannot worry to be atthe computer i just bid what i'm willing to pay and then it does the rest with 6 sec to go.

I'm too cheap to pay for Esnipe, if I can't be there to bid on it I don't need it that badly.

I am with you guys!! I do the same, I do it in the last 10 sec. and I will go with 51.05 or something like that.
I am always amazed at the fools biding 4 or 5 days ahead of time!
