This is a 22ft Zodiac with twin 90 Yamaha 4 strokes. It is being delivered to the Charleston, SC NOAA office this week by a city fireman who sidelines as a factory rep.
The scuppers are 4 inch diameter. When docked you pull the string and it folds the black tube to keep water out.
The guy said the boat will do about 50 kts. and costs $160K.......thats right!

Ya know, I LOVE this state of SC...I really do...but this is not the 1st time we got screwed on boat purchases...
...160 grand and you ''pull a string'' to keep water outta the boat at dock ... on a trailer w/ 13" wheels and BULB taillights instead of LEDs...transom straps that look like they were tied by a committee of Cub Scouts and those are pulled up against the tabs which over time will probably warp 'em...
...Oh wait...delivered to NOAA...we ALL get to share in this screwing ;D ;D ;D ...

I used to own an inflatable and when docked, I always removed the plug. If you got no bilge pump, you leave the plug out and the boat doesn't fill up with rainwater. It can't sink if the tubes are inflated.

Our tax dollars at work again RAP. Bet a 5 grand V would do everything that boat will ever do...

The trailer belongs to the fireman, I guess he's also a cub scout.
He said that he gets boats about 2 weeks ahead of the delivery date. His job is to run the boat and make sure everything works good.
Then he delivers the boat.
Sounds like a fun job

They would have bought the trailer too but it was too cheap. The are getting one locally for $25K.
If you can figure out how to sell stuff to the government, you have got it made, second would be getting Walmart to sell what ever you make.
