Wow Cy, pretty car. Makes me miss mine even more. There is one for sale in Salisbury far from clean for 21k righ now. :( I suppose when the bota is "done" and the kids are grown I'll be looking for another toy. Then again, I wonder if the boat will ever be done or if the kids will ever be grown?

nice car, when I met my wife she had a red 65 convertible tang. Of course she sold it before we got married. That's my luck. I did have 70 cougar eliminator with the Boss 302 , 4 speed with detroid locker 433 in her. She was quick but heavy.

Very nice. I am a die hard true blue Mustang fanatic. My dream stang? 1969 MachI. Yummy. I've had mostly late model Mustangs. My latest was an 03 GT with many mods. Traded her for a truck when I got the V. Broke my heart, but I had to do it.

hey cyensen
I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I see you have some chevy products in the pic.
In my part of the woods chevy owners can't leave their vehicles unlocked, how about where you are????

No that first pic is in the driveway of the guy I bought her from. Not my stuff. Where is your neck of the woods? I am a Ford, and Dodge man myself.
Hey Air...I payed $2000 for her "as is" and probably got another $4000 in restoration parts. All together i got $6000 in her.

Yep bought it new. My mothers cousin was a salesmen at a dealership in Lynchburg Va. and my dad ordered it from him in April of 64 & took deleivery in Dec. 64. So I was told. He drove it for years and it was his baby. He died in 2004 from lung cancer and left it to me. I am a bit of a motor head and he & I shared a love for old detroit muscle. I also have a 67 SS 396 Camaro and a 70 LT1 Corvette Conv.

I live in Camden NC about 30 minutes from Nags Head and abu 45 minutes from Oregon Inlet is where I do most of my salt water fishing.
I'm mainly a Ford man myself. My V-20 has a chevy 305 in it which I'm repowering with a 350 because I can get for the same price. This only the 2nd GM product I've ever owned the other was a 55 chevy 327 4 sp.

Nice job on the 'stang CY.
Here's a couple pics of the 67 Chevelle SS I restored. All original with the factory 396 and 4 speed. Crappy pics because they were scanned from originals (before digital cams).

Dam guys, I'm starting to worry about the manhood of some of my fellow members here. Didn't any of you ever drive a real car. Them bow ties, blue ovals and ponchos are ok for some. You know the type, Barbies and panties in the glovebox. But for me, I want another MOPAR, been keeping my eyes open for 62 thru 66 Plymouth so I can build a Hemi Superstock clone. I'm planning on stuffing a Hemi Crate motor in with a 727 and a Dana. Gonna do a rotisserie resto and build it to the classic style

Well Franco my friend......you'll be pleased to hear that my first car I owned was a '69 Plymouth Road Runner. You sitting down? Powered with the 440 Magnum, 4 speed. My best friend at the time had an uncle that owned a body shop. He took us to the auto auctions. It was an insurance salvage and was deemed a total wreck. Probably because it was only a year and a half old. The damage wasn't that bad. The uncle reassured me that it was very fixable. We put the bid on it and I got it for $1800. Spent about another 6 months fixing everything (all rear end and frame work). Drove the car for almost 2 years then sold it when I went in the Army.
My Dad hated the car. Or so he let me know, but I found out later on that it was my Mom that hated it and he was just relaying what she kept nagging him about. I kind of knew it anyways when I saw him on more than one occasion wiping it down with a rag in the driveway. His eyes also sparkled when I let him drive it. ;)
That car was a beast. Not the fastest of the line, but I'd beat everyone down the line. All top end. 8)

I was wondering why there is always trash in my 72 Chevy Pickemup.
It is always reciepts from the Ford dealership, apparently the Fords around here need a lot of working on.

hey randleman, that's because we can at least get our fords to carry us to the dealers instead of only getting towed to the dump to unload the trash in them.
