Just want to turn you guys on to a site.
Its called http://freecycle.org/groups/ you sign up under your yahoo name.
Best to open its own email account for this site!! You are going to get tons of email from the site!!!
How it works is this, People just give stuff away, there are tons of baby stuff and clothes all the time!!
But I have gotten computers, computer parts, I have gotten friges, freezers, even 2 cars for a friend of mine! The list is endless!
CB can tell you I have done very well on getting stuff from this site! Cb kind of hates it. says he never gets anything?
If you got stuff you just don't need you just post it and they come get it.
You can ask for just about anything and if some one has it they email you or if they have what you want then you email them and arrange a pick up.
Its all over the country, Just go to the site above and pick your state and town or town near you, then sit back and wait for the emails there will be pleanty, and ck often cause its all first come first serve.
If you are a junk collector like me your, basement is going to fill quick!

No brackets hammer. I never found anything useful on that site so I deleted my account and everything associated with it. I know MJ has done okay by the site. Maybe my location is filled with nothing more than "house frau's" with nothing better to do than "freecycle" all their old toddler toys and clothing.
I've got enough junk without adding to my collection and having to listen to Mrs CB. ::)

Maybe I need to talk with Mrs. Chum about cleaning out your garage and spare boat parts. ;D

my wife has been on our local one for a couple years now.
Its amazing the kinda good stuff people give away. We have got some pretty nice items off of it. Alot is junk, but you have to sift through.

There should be a Man Site where we can do the same thing, like give away or do trades. Hunting fishing stuff, art collections ;D Post sale/trade/free items.

I have been on it for about 2 years and it ok, but you have to look!
I just thought I would let you guys know after watching Hammer getting screwed this week.
I got and use everyday a LCD monitor off there, I also could get 10 monitors a week from there!
And the computers just need to be reformatted and they ready to go. At my house right now I have 7 working computers and 4 of them are freecycle throw aways.
And a man site would be awesome!! But I never throw anything away! Just ask my wife!

I just got another computer today, P2 600 mhz suppose to work just fine with a fresh install of windows 2000 with 128 ram.
I will redo it with XP Pro and add more ram that I have here.
I am meeting a guy tomorrow with the last computer I got from the freecycle dump and he is buying it for $100
I have two others that are 500 mhz machines I keep one for a spare and sell the other for $75, I will also sell the one I am getting tomorrow after I fix it up.
The one my daughter was a dump machine from freecycle also, just needed XP put in it and some added ram and it is a great machine!
today I sold some roof racks that I got from freecycle for $50 so thats $150 for free stuff in two days. With more to come ;) ;D

Been thinking of selling some stuff on E-Bay. I bought stuff from E-Bay, but never set up an account.
Want to sell of some dive gear, artifacts and some Franklin Mint plates.

Hammer. I have a friend that wanted to sell a dry suit. I think it was something like a $1200 new suit. He used it for three years, then two babies came along and the diving came to a halt. I told him to throw it on Ebay and see what he could get. He was hoping to get $300 for it. He listed it with no reserve and ended up getting $680 when it was done.
There are definately some deals to be had and money to be made on Ebay, but buyer AND seller beware. ;)

Always wanted a dry suit. I'm the last of teh wet suit divers. Need to learn how to dive all over again going from a wet suit to a dry suit. Could have got one, but I bought the toys instead, underwater dive scooter so I can zoom around on the bottom and a underwater video camera so I can sneak up on the babes who are waiste high in the water. ;D
