I saw this on CNN and they showed a bit more of the clip.....the sad part is, prior to the bite the shark had lunged once and nearly got him. *So, instead of realizing it was a bad idea, he pressed on......gotta save that hook! *You can see where that got him..... :-/

Cherry Grove SC, just south of Little River (SC/NC line) held World Record Tiger Shark for YEARS...hooked up from pier...landed on beach...1760 lbs...

I'll have to say that my friend hanging off the side of the boat with a rope cleat stuck in his leg turned my gut. He went to jump off slid cleat went into leg and then he slid into the water with his leg hanging. My buddy just reached over and smacked it off the cleat like he had to do it all the time. Good thing it was his boat and that was his brother.
