Va Beach Weekend Get Together

Since there are more than a couple guys willing to come by and take a look at my project, I decided to start this thread so we could all pitch in times to meet. Trying to coordinate through PMs just isn't going to cut it. As of now I have something to do Saturday morning, but I should be home by 1ish. Anytime after that on Saturday or anytime Sunday will work for me. How about everyone else that's interested in coming over? I've PM'd my phone numbers and a link with directions to Kajun, Whopper55, Stillrunning, Pikfish and 2ndchance. Anyone else?

Sunday morning would be best for me but as I said its harder to get out now days with the new born. What ever time and day you guys decide on post it here and I will try and make it over. If I'm coming from Suffolk is it quicker to go 64 to Indianriver or 264 to Lynnhaven?

JXJ, not to detract from your work party, but there is a good deal on a 248 mako in va bch on the hull truth. 5 g's obo. I'm sure the motor has issues, but it still would be something to look at. i was thinking that with all of the nautical wheeler talent the will be in the area, maybe a field trip would be in order. you guys have fun..

Got together with Jeffrx and 2ndchance, Nice to meet people who have been through it. Jeffrx has his apart and clean. Too D---M cold to spend much time outside. I will admit that the pictures don't do justice to the lifting rig. What a great bit of engineering. Enjoyed the time.

From what I saw I say full steam ahead. Jeff has really got his act together and seems to want to see this project to the end and I beleive he can do it. As I told you today Jeff, give me a call if you need a hand. Just as I need the help and advice of this forum so does he,so lets help him out.

Sorry Hammer, the pics may be slow to come in the near future. My next two weekends are kinda booked so I may not be able to get much done soon. Out of necessity I'm building a flat cart so I can move the inner liner out of the wayand get my boat behind my fence before the neighbor calls the city on me *:o (she got them to my other neighbor's house because she doesn't like his yard....Although I like his yard because it makes mine look better! ::) ) Anyway, hopefully I'll have some pics of a functioning "inner liner cart" by tomorrow. *;D After that it may be a little while...

Oh and Kajun, you get the "Slacker of the Day" award! *;D *Seriously though, no worries for missing out. It was really c.c.coooold this morning so we didn't spend much time looking at the V. It'll be here and your welcome to come by to take a look.

Sorry I did not make it over yesterday as I was stuck with my own problems and I was unable to finish the work on Saterday. Last week when repainting the floor in my boat we found a soft spot which was not real big so I figured we could knock out the repair in a day. With the snow and the cold weather it slow use to a snails pace so we had to work on it again yeaterday. Sunday we decided to cut away a little more flooring just to make sure we got out all the bad wood and we stiill are not done. What did you guys decide to do with your boat?
