You know what they say about the best layed plans...

Had the V hooked up and loaded for bear, er, flounder as today is opening day. Calling for rain and SE 15, but who cares, I'm going fishing! ;D Last step this morning, with truck already running, was to trim the motor up and put the plug in.....no trim....switch is broke....damn $10 part keeping me off the water today...until I go wake up my neighbor / merc dealer at home in another hour ;D

So here I am at work....and being help hostage by MS Office. Seems that the trail subscibtion expired on this new box and I need to upgrade. I have no problem with that, but I think I'm going to wait till Monday and get Office 2007.

Are flounder starting to bite on the inside up your way? Or are you talking about fishing off the beach?

Flounder were caught in the coastal bays and creeks yesterday. My plans were foiled as I ended up helping my parents with a dishwasher problem, but we had a nice day and I saved them a pile of money ;D I'm going to pick up my new trim switch in just a minute ;D

I'll be between Murrell's Inlet and Little River Inlet from Wed. - Sunday. Plan on 1/2 day fishing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

I'm alot closer to Murrell's but I'm seriously considering driving up to LR because there are more options up that way this time of year. I wish the flounder bite would turn on. Or puppy drum. Otherwise I will likely target black bass.

Slot have you used any Berkley Gulp baits? I am a first time buyer and I'm hoping to try them out this week.

I got the white pogies, smoke mullet, and penny shrimp.

Fish em on a small jig head? Or Carolina rig depending on water depth?

I could have hot wired it to go fishing, but flounder fishing in our coastal bays???? You have to have power trim working for this game ;D

I've not tried gulp yet, but will this year I'm sure. I've heard good reports of it.
