I go to auctions for my business and sometimes see things that interest me. I try not to get involved into things that I dont deal with in my business but this little boat came up and I was high bidder on it. Its is a crap shoot you dont get to hear it run and they tell you very little about it. Well i ck. it over best i could, transom and the floor seemed fine. The sterring cable needed to be replaced and the engine condition at least seemed clean. But i am no Skools and i know i was takin a chance. Put some cash into it and its great now... gonna play with it and see if it sells... The 70hp rude pushes it around 34mph with 2 pax. Wondering just how shallow it will go, we got area's where red fish are and you need to get into 14-18 in. of water if this boat works out may hold on to it or ask for more cash for it. Fishin buddy split the cost with me so it just hurts half as much as far has cash invested. Gonna use it until it sells than look for another. Zebra

Looks ready to go.
Livewell under the seat? And rear bait boxes. Looks like it will scoot. Any asperations about a jack plate for shallow running?

(Normally) There's holes in the bottom also. If done correctly they actually keep circulating water while running and keep some water in it when stopped.
If done incorrectly the bait box will overflow when running and actually flow water out of the top lid (and bait).

what brand is it? Looks simular to a sea squirt a buddy if mine used to have. Depending on what you paid, i think you did good. a lot of people who have 25' boats can't sell them and people who are looking for 15'-17' boats can't find them..

cool boat! I had the same motor [75 hp] and you couldn't beat its simplicity and reliability. It looks to have the "early" vro injection system.....the early ones are destine for failure.....loose the vro and that motor won't give any problems.

Thanks Oz, but i was talkin about taking the oil res. tank out, its up under the center console and plug the line in the engine area. Just not sure... Its oil injected and i just dont trust it. Also has a alarm that goes off right when you start it up. not sure if its temp alarm or oil injection alarm... Z

Thanks Blue, I was tryin to keep my eye out for a 18 cc wellcraft but this one came up first. The mkt. to sell boats as slowed alittle i think. So i went ahead and got this one tagged so we can use it, till it sells. A used jackplate would be cool to find.

My neighbor has a 3cly (60-65-70) that he was going to abandon the VRO and hasen't proceded past removing the fuel-oil pump. I do know a portion of the horn problems with the 3cyl was the pee tube and hose, there is an update size increase. Please post modifications you do to the motor. THANKS,Benny

I do know the fuel pump for his was about $70 because he only had a nipple to go to it instead of bolting to the powerhead like the preVRO styles.
