This is another rescue my sister is taking up. The last one she turned loose on her place the nieghbors asked if she had seen the deer with an orange rear. Yep she spray painted it. ;D

My sister used to work for a vet that would take in game and nongame birds and animals and find someplace suitable to release them when they were well. She has no intention of keeping "wildlife", she's got too many domestic rescues. I didn't ask where this one came from, chances are either from the vet or her property.

I used to video bucks walking in and walking out....it killed my dad and bro-in-law as they were my hunting partners and weren't seeing any deer, let alone bucks! I loved that chit. Now I just shoot first and grill later 8)

Alright,I already knew the fawn was named "Herbert", (named for her pain in the a$$ first husband) and the horses are "Sweet Pea" and "Deitz". She corrected me on the names (they got papers).

Each had a different color pattern, one was solid black except the tip of his nose was white.
This is on Modena Island, they got a bridge over to it about 10 years ago and developed it.
We use to camp there about 20 years ago.

Darn, I didn't know that I had tuned into Animal Planet when I turned on the puter ;D. Seriously those are some great pics. I a little worried that the Fawn is gonna grow up thinking hes a horse ;). I've never heard of anyone hand feeding Humming Birds, your sister does have a special gift.
