Could anyone suggest a good fish finder? I have been scouring ebay since my funds are limited, but I just dont know enough about them. I have looked at Humminbird 100wide, platinum 600, eagle Pro Id, etc.....
Looking for something used under $100 or new are $200.
This would be for salt water fishing in fairly deep water.

Well I bought a new Garmin 160 or 160 Blue and I think its the best one I have ever owned!!!
I have had Hummingbird 100, and Egale 320DF and a few others and this is the best I have ever owned!
I can see my buddys line sweeping as he jigs off the back of the boat!!
I think I paid something like $140 or $150?? I forgot now??
But when bidding on one at Ebay make sure that you are getting the transducer with it! They come with and sometimes with out!!
The 160 and 160 blue are the same except the transducer/ The Blue is better for Salt water but like i said I am happy with mine and it is just a 160.
And Matched with a nice Garmin 162 Chart Plotter they look good on the boat also!!

I think, for the money, you can't go wrong with the Garmin unit that MJ recommended. I know there are other fine products as well, but I've had overall very good experiences with the Garmin products. I had nothing but problems and disappointment with any Humminbird products so I wouldn't personally recommend them.
Garmin's customer service is also first rate IMO. Very good experiences with them in the past.
