Fellas,

In CT there is a minor revolution going on as to striper fishing. It is a take off on an old old tactic of trolling worms to stripers. I have been trying it and the results are amazing.
I want you all to know that I am in no way affiliated with this guys product but I have bought three from him and he has been great as to giving me free advice.
The website that this page comes from is amazing and the owner of this FREE site is a friend of mine.

Check it out here : http://www.ctfisherman.com/tubeworm.html

Nothing new here in Mass. I didn't read through the entire article (well written, but long winded ;D).
We use them here in Mass. but everything on a little bit bigger scale. Longer, larger diameter tubes, tipped with one or two nice fat juicy seaworms. Larger gear too as in the rods and reels. A Penn 113H is the most common loaded up with plenty of stainless wire or leadcore line to get the tube down without the use of downriggers.
Quite effective for the big striped girls. ;)
Good info though. I'll have to read through the entire article.

I've done the same EXACT thing up here in Boston harbor with amazing success also. The major proponent of this style is a guy in Everett, MA named Pete Santing. He has a web site www.fishfinatic.com/

Same success from graves light in the harbor to no mansland off the vineyard. Two things I notice black or red tubes always better when red, and sea worms a must. In fact sometimes if I get hits but no hookup i shorten the lenght of the worm=more hook ups. Didn't notice if the tubes on the site had weighted heads.
