help me please waypoints

I HAVE A GARMIN 76 GPS THAT I DONT KNOW HOW TO ADD MY OWN WAYPOINT IN TO IT
LIKE LETS SAY YOU WANT TO GO TO A WAYPOINT THAT YOUR FRIEND GAVE YOU HOW DO YOU PUT IT IN
PLEASE HELP ME

1. Press the NAV key.
2. highlight waypoint and hit Enter.
3. The unit will then show your current location.
4. scroll up to the current gps numbers and highlight.
5. delete current numbers and add in your new numbers.
