Well I finally get some time out of the office and me the wife and Grayson our 7month old daughter are headed to the outerbanks. My parents have a place down there but its not on the beach but a friend of mine gave use a week in a nice 3 story cottage right on the beach. The only bad news is I'm leaving the V at home as I'm not comfortable taking a 7 month old out on the water. We will have a cottage full of friends this weekend but for the rest of the week its just the three of us. So you guys take it easy.

Enjoy!!! Sounds like a great time.
You know, it wouldn't hurt our feelings if the first words Grayson speaks are "V20!". Yup, you post a video of him saying that and I bet MJ would grant him instant god status ;D

Thanks, I will get plenty of surf fishing in and I plan on driving down to the beach by the bridge to do some fishing in the sound. Tuna Head I'm not sure if V20 will be the first words but I will give it a try. Oh, Grayson is a Little Lady and that makes it 3 to 1 in our house as I have a 22 year old who loves fishing & boating but she is leaving for college this week.

It has always been one of the most enjoyable and relaxing fishing I do, when I walk along the beach in that twilight just before sun up casting plugs into the water. Sometimes the most exiting too. It is what I do when I go on the beach vacation with the kids and family somewhere. ;)

Still sounds like a good relaxing getaway. Be aware that there has been some beach closures down that way. Last I heard they had the bridge area cut off from ORV due to bird enclosures. Red Drum tackle usually has some up to date info on the beach closures if you want to research before you go:

If you are right on the beach you might just go fish there ;)

I know that the beaches have been closed along that area but maybe it will be open as its a nice area were the ocean meets the bay. My parents have a place down in the outerbanks but we had this offer for one right on the ocean. Thought it would be a fun change as my parents place is a 1/2 block from the beach and you don't get the view.
