This is for my buddy with the 23' Robalo we done the full transom job/bracket on.
I have tried coming up with a name for his boat and Im just stumped.
Here are a couple of things to help you guys out:
Last name Quick...I thought "Quick Time"..maybe, but thats it. :-/
Since our transom redo the thing has been in and out of the shop with engine problems all summer (which is why I still havent caught a freakin tuna. >:( )
He has dumped a PILE of $$ in it with the transom/bracket and now engine problems so there is always the money thing to go on......
His son's name is Johnny
Not married...single....actually divorced
He works at a concrete plant for a living....
We have thrown around ideas about how the boat is cursed, but thats about as far as its gone. ;D
Any help would be appreciated... :-/

How about "Cement Overshoes".
works in a cement plant and I am sure he wishes he could
give a pair to his ex.
Plus with all the $$$ he is shelling out, I'll bet he feals like he is wlaking around in a pair.

well knowing what i know about robalo (junk) and what they cost, plus what he has invsted in it. i would call it 'sunken treasure'. but, since y'all redid the transom it may handle the 2-3 footers. provided the stringers dont stop 3' short of the transom like on some. since his last name is quick you might call it 'diariah'. sry bud, i just feel the same bout those things as most here feel about bay liner. couple years back my uncle ordered one custom from rob all ya. $150,000+ and it showed up 6 months late. when they finally delivered it to cypress cove marina in venice and we were gonna go fish the stumps, the boat snapped near enuff in half on the fork lift, before it even made it to the water. and i have heard many other horror stories too.
but, 2 names that i liked and considered instead of twisted parrot were 'southeast of disorder' and 'disaster relief'. the latter prob has more meaning to me than it would for most.

I understand what you are saying, but you couldnt be more wrong. I heard your story before and I hate it for the person you knew, but bear in mind that was a NEW Robalo. Just like the newer Wellcrafts dont compare to the older ones it is the same for these. I wouldnt own a new Wellcraft for nothing, but the older ones like we all love so much are solid boats. *;)
This boat of his is rock solid. I have been all through it and I know this to be a fact. I never would have recommended (let alone helped him) with the transom job and putting all that $$ into it if it wasnt worth it. Comon, you know me better than that...gimme some credit. ::)
Oh and Ive been in some genuine 6'ers in this boat and NEVER felt compromised.

Yeah, they make McDonald's look like health food.
Follow link to their home page and click on the magazine in the picture that says "flat buns" on it.

That's the correct location but the answer I was looking for was....
http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/temp/QH.jpg
The location where the Mass. state record striper was caught... in 1913! I think it was the world record for quite some time.

Don't know what they're makin' these days, but the late 80s 2160 I spent lots of time on was as solid as a boat can get, EXCELLENT fit & finish ...deep V to the transom; cut a chop like butter ... 8) ...
