I had to change the channel because it was all about Michael Vick. Who friggin cares? He admitted he was a dumb-a$$, now let's get back to the game. Sheeze >:(

I watched it for about 10 minutes until I fell asleep on the couch, that is how I watch most of my football on tv. ;D

i used to love it. but, nowadays every time some body makes a tackle they do a five minute victory dance like if they just single handedly won the game.

man i know you southerners see nascar as the true sport down there but up here we count down 9 long months til football season comes around again.

Who's your team CTT?

Even though I am a "southerner", I too, wait patiently for football season each year. *(I will watch em turn left from time to time but I'd rather go fishing on Sunday afternoon) *The last couple seasons have been hard to live through being a Panthers fan. The boys are keeping me guessing this year as well.

I Hate Nascar...its gay. :P

Come to think of it I dont know a single person that DOES watch it that I wouldn't consider a hillbilly. ;D

I watch college...never been an NFL fan.

There is a city ordinace here in Randleman (home town of King Richard) that you must be a nascar fan, or at least act like you enjoy it.

We are not hillbillies though, I grew up with hillbillies, the rednecks around here do not compare.

I never seen Kajun post on this thread. *;D

Lets clarify.

These are definitions according to Stinky Hooker so be not offended.

Hillbilly- I view hillbillies as what would be commonly known as white trash. The type of people most really wouldn't want to hang around because of the way they act, smell, or look. They usually have no idea about real world issues and are from the stone age. They don't understand "new fangled gadgetry" like computers, cell phones, PDAs and deodorant. they may also at times (and mostly while under the influence) do somewhat questionable things with farm animals. ::)

Redneck- A redneck is someone that is from the country as well. While he or she may possess some of the afore mentioned qualities of the hillbilly a redneck's presence is generally more tolerable. This is because he is alot of fun to hang around due to his demeanor. He is wild, fun and a little crazy. He shoots guns and loves to hunt, fish, boat and blow stuff up. Most times he will be the life of the party. *;D

I *am just a good ol country boy with a little redneck mixed in. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v721/bbingsuperman/Smilies/5085.gif

Hillbillies are people from the mountains who have been cut off from the rest of the world for generations. That's why they don't understand "new" stuff.

Rednecks are the same except they intermingle with modern society and yet choose not to evolve.

Either way, I have great friends who are one or the other or both.

When it comes right down to it, we are all sheep in the flock.

thats another good way to look at it.

I have no mountains here so that definition has never applied to me.

I have friends on both sides as well that I cherish. It was all in good fun. Just kidding around, no offense meant. ;)

I'm not offended. ;D

Of coarse I'm not a hillbilly, well, not any more anyway. ;D

afraid we veared off course a little hear. i was told that atlanta hasn,t played a monday nite game this preseason, so i not sure what exactly the course ever was in the first place.
i did see where a guy in a thong called nascar gay. and that according to him a redneck is just a hillbilly without tatoos? hillbilly, redneck, whatever... thier all a bunch of back woods, illiterate goat****ers to me.
and being born in new orleans and raised in south mississippi i gotta root for my saints. but my favorite team has always been the dolphins. i grew up watchin marino, duper and clayton. i do love the game. but it is just a game, not a sport. and very little sportmanship left in the game these days. so i dont watch as much as i used to, but i still party down for the super bowl. after all, it is the daytona 500 of football!
