High Tides

What up with the Super High Tides ??? Full moon ???
4 boats sunk today because of suck a high tide today. Boats were above the mooring poles and when low came in, all 4 got stuck on top of the mooring poles by the bow, dragging down the stern and sinking them. ???

Was the stern toward the outgoing tide?
Full moon was last night.
This time of year normally has fast tides and just enough rain to change getting by to catastropic.
It will relax about mid December.

It's a lunar thing, and this NE wind is also holding extra water against the coast, making it even worse.
