I snapped a couple of pix over the weekend of my hunting setup for my fellow deer hunters.

It is a 5ft x 4ft stand with 16ft telephone poles on the front leaned into a million year old cedar with the girth of an oak tree ;D We erected this stand on the ground and moved it into position using a rope, pully, and a Ford tractor. ;)

The feeder was made by my dad. He made 5 total of these for various stands that we have. It has a funnel type deal in the bottom of the 55 gallon drum that allows the corn to go into the pvc and out onto the stepping stone.

I like to pick on dad about the camo scheme he painted on there. ;D

Close up view of my deer stand from the front:

Looking up at the stand from the shooting lane near the feeder:

And finally, the feeder **Look closely - its camo** ;D ::):

We can use bow and arrow from Sept. - Nov., black powder the first week in Nov. and all of the above including rifle from 2nd week in Nov. - Jan. 1st.

No it is not on my property - I wish I owned the 128 acres this sits on. Happens to be a friend of my dad who lives in another town. The land is only a few miles from my house and the guy has let us use it for better than 15 years now. I dread the day we can't use it any more.

The only drawback to my setup is the light. It gets real dark down in that shooting lane due to all of the overhanging trees.

BTW - my dad killed a 7pt yesterday evening. I'll add pix after while. Had to leave the cell phone in the car ont he charger this morning. :-/ I have a pic of my nephew holding the nads ;D
