I got out on Friday with two friends, had a better day fluking then our most recent trips. We caught 18 with three keepers. All in 4 to 6 feet of water.
Yesterday, I went out with a friend trolling for larger bluefish about 20 miles out. It was a slow day, with only 8 fish in the box averaging 8 lbs.

F1, what are you going to do with those big blues? I tried to eat an 8 lber one time and it was the nastiest thing I've ever put in my mouth!
On the other hand, I've caught plenty of blues 3 lbs or less and they are, by contrast, some of the finest fish I've put in my mouth! I've just been turned off by the big ones since that bad experience with them. Maybe I just don't know how to prepare the big ones?
Unless you know something I don't, I'll keep the little uns and the big uns go back!
Thanks,
Blue

Blue -
You are right, big bluefish are NASTY.
But, Big Makos eat Big bluefish fillets. ;)
We were in a bluefish tornament with the biggest three fish the winner. The fillets get frozen until we go sharkin. They come in handy if there are no fresh bluefish available.

MJ, I take it you don't like blues at all? Ok, maybe not the finest, but the little ones are very good. Somebody on here has got to agree with that! Anybody ???
On to more worthwhile topics, MJ how about going to the Modifications section and replying to my starboard post. I need to get going on my starboard work ;D ;D
