Arrrgh! I'm going to be in the water late this year. And if it's really 5-weeks, then I'm going to probably be delayed even more because the end of April is a very busy time at the boat yards around here. Oh well, nothing I can do about it but be patient. I will get pictures of the naked transom up this weekend.

Sounds like they don't make those transom brackets til they got an order in the house...you could rebuild the QMII in 3-5 weeks... ::)
Can't wait for naked transom shots...should rival MJs little bouncin' beauty... ;) ;D

yes it will well worth it!
When you order them brackets they send you one for your boat. So you call and say I have a 79 wellcraft V20 and they make to those spec's
also what is the shaft length of your new motor?? Go with nothing less the 25" I hope!

It's 25" and at the bracket color will match the hull (close at least). I'll fish from the dock for flounder until I get my boat back. I'm going to bring it back from the yard while I wait and get my spring projects done and then hopefully I can just splash the thing once it's done. I added a saltwater washdown setup to my list for the fiberglass guy. It will go immediately behind the rod storage box on the port side.
