This is a neat looking Stainless to see too Gill Bracket. Got me thinking of making some out of stainless and use stainless Welding wire of course. Might do that next spring. Just open thoughts.

skools, im thinking a bit more material making contact with transom. spread the load. nice concept for a homemade though.

Skools thats a cool looking bracket but two observations
1. No flotation so if used with larger motors would add a lot of that bow/stern bobbing that the extra leverage of a bracket brings and
2. WHERE ARE THE SUPER MODEL/BAIT BOX SEATING PROTOTYPES. Didn't your parents teach you to finish one thing before starting another ;D
Oh well I didn't listen to them either ;)

Willy, just how much floatation can a bracket provide? I've often wondered that question...I don't see how it could be much. But, like I said, I don't know.

I don't know how you would measure something like that Blue, just an observation though my 30" armstrong bracket is hollow and sealed well, when I pop the inspection seal it makes the vacum pop. I am trying to imagine my BFA on that thing and I gaurantee you my weight would not push it under water. It has to be offsetting the weight of an outboard tremendously when you are bobbing stem to stern in the water.

A little flotation goes a long way!!

But that said if you made it like that you don't have any water slamming into it and lifting the rear up in ruff water.\

I think it would be a great bracket, But I to would like to see it have a full plate up against the tramsom also for the extra support.

But with that said, if you add the plate to the inside of the transom and leave it like it is, it will be nice and strong!! As the bulk of the stress will be on the transom, and by distributioning the weight from the inside I think it will work great!!

On mine I wanted the inside to use the hole transom for the weight and had a friend make this for me.
There is no way that the bracket is coming off with out the hole transom going with it!!

hey Willy, It's going to have to warm up before any glassing can be done here i could build it out of wood but the glass would be awhile lol that's the Seat Box not the Super Model. She's here lol I'll keep her warm till spring lol.

Skool, you'll need her rump to make a pattern for that perfect fit!

P.S. Let me know if you need any help buddy ;)

Oh you have one Skools, thats good, if not I can send you one ;D
And Blue you don't need a pattern, my hands automatically extend and form the perfect dimensions in my mind and from memory so we can leave the drawings out of it ;)
