Hey guys, I took the weekend off from fishing. Holidays bring out the drinkers on the river. So i took my new boat to St Lucie to have it measured for a new T TOP. It is 5'X7' with 4 gold anodized rod holders aft. And 2 more on the sides, Can troll rods from them instead of using outriggers. Also good for live baiting. It is going to have a bunch of brackets for antennaes, lights and such. Will be ready in 2 weeks. The builder thinks he can get the sunbrella material in fight lagy yellow to match the hull, if not it will be natural, kinda eggshell color. Also will have plastic pop tops that you can open to put the rod tips through when you use the console mounted rodholders. I'll have 20 rod holders on it with the T Top and 4 more when I order and install the leaning post. My wife said the boat wont float if I keep adding stuff to it!!!

Thanks Willy & Oz,
I cant wait. I have wanted a t top for a long time. Been getting so much sun the better half is calling be Juan!!! I told the guy thats making the top abiut the group here and if he can find a V20 to measure he will give us a price on making a top for cuddy cabins. Anyone near St Lucie???
Hey Oz, the McKee Crafts have an aluminum plate molded in the deck just for t top mounting _ I'm gonna help him install it, so we will drill and tap the plate for the top. I'm gonna bring the camera too. I need to take a lot of pics, Wanna show the trolling motor, electronics and of course the new t top

I wanna know how the heck you tow that thing backwards with that VW bug!

Kidding aside, hey man she's looking Reel Crabby with the new top! Can't say I have ever seen one in that color, but I LOVE it! Very nice and unique look. There will be no mistaking the SS Reel Crabby and the Grand Pubah on the water. (nice lettering btw)

Way to go bud! I know you are proud.

Hey Stinkman, Liking it a lot, Lutsa range, rung qood, plenty of room for me and a buddy or two to fish. It can go outside on nice days and go in as little as 17 inches of water. Not much I can add to the boat except a leaning post and thats coming!!

I bet you get a good rockin in that little boat, looks cool though. Is that a flats boat, or rather is that how it is used?
And how do you get up in that puppy?

Franco
06-26-2006, 08:25 PM
That thing would scare me, Willy, can you see me dragging my big a$$ up on top of that t top!!! That is mainly used for sight fishing, too tall of a tower for the flats and too deep of a draft too! You see a lot of those towers down this way. They use them sailfishing and cobia fishing.

willy
06-26-2006, 09:43 PM
Franco I think if you or I were to climb up there the only thing anyone would see of us would be our bottom paint bobbing in the waves :o
