i got a swim platform from west marine. just the platform. the small starboard outboard style with no hardware. i go about 250 pounds so i will need some heavy duty brackets... any ideas?

Lose some weight!! ;)
Get some stainless tube, also some fittings, or just hammer the end flat and drill for a bolt and install.
You will be fine.

ok, thats not the worst idea i have heard so far... the tube one, not the weight loss one.

1" Stainless tube will be perfect!! even for a 300 pounder like me!!

If you need tubing let me know. Stripping down two big boats at the boat yard. Tons of rail tubing.

Hey Mac, is that just one step on that ladder? Mine had only one but it was pretty darn difficult for me to climb up it so I got a 3-step extension ladder for it.

Yes it has only one step. *I added a handle to assist in boarding. *I only weigh that on land, *in the water I weigh much less! *Billy Mac *;D

I am going to add a ladder to mine, and when I do, I am going to put a telscopeing 3 step.
